CHART TOPPERS

We ask pro riders to name their top places to ride. This month, it’s the turn of the Emerald Isle’s top enduro racer,

- Greg Callaghan

1. la thuile italy, & whistler, canada

These are two of the best places I’ve ridden and raced. La Thuile’s just got everything – long descents, gnarly, natural, loamy and rocky bits. It’s proper ‘raw’ mountain biking. In Whistler, I just love the whole vibe. The tracks are good, the grip is amazing and there’s always a good crew to ride with.

2. valberg france

Valberg is one of the best Enduro World Series venues we’ve had – good place, good tracks, good atmosphere, everything really. There’s massive variety there too – some of it’s high alpine and some of it feels like big freeride lines, surfing down a mad moon-dust-like surface.

3. three rock, ireland

My home trails are just wild. I travel all over the world, but I go back there and they always put manners on me! They’re slippery, boggy and rooty, but home is home. I feel quite bad that I never do any digging, though. I always have great intentions, but by the time I’ve done my training I’ve got nothing left to go and swing a shovel with. I need to do more, and I will!
