£219 SDG drop into the seatpost party

With their first dropper post, SDG are aiming for reliability and affordability. It uses a sealed hydraulic cartridge system, which allows the post to be stopped anywhere in its stroke – currently 125mm or 150mm, though 100mm and 170mm versions should be available soon. The internally-routed cable attaches at the base of the post for easy installation and runs to a shifter-style remote lever. It only comes in two diameters, but at least they’re the most common (30.9mm and 31.6mm). Our test post weighs 655g, including all hardware. www.silverfish-uk.com
