Maxxis Minion DHF 3C MaxxTerra EXO TR £59.99

-

Maxxis’s Minion DHF is a longstanding favourite on the DH circuit and makes a great trail tyre with the single-ply ‘EXO Protection’ casing. Its rounded profile and tread provide a predictable level of grip when transitioning between the side and central knobs. When railing flat corners, sipes on the well-supported side knobs help them hold their shape and reduce squirming. Maxxis’s ‘3C MaxxTerra’ triple compound offers a good mix of grip and durability, with harder rubber bonded to the carcass, a mediumdensity central tread and softer side knobs. The EXO casing is fairly puncture-resistant, but perhaps consider the ‘Double Down’ carcass if you’re regularly riding rocky tracks and are prone to pinching your tyre against the rim. We had no issues setting the tyre up tubeless. www.extrauk.co.uk
