When MBUK was born, all mountain bikes had rigid forks. As we pointed out in issue 4, they had a habit of snapping where the rim brake bosses were brazed onto the legs. In 1990, RockShox introduced the RS-1 suspension fork (pictured). Its 48mm of travel changed the game for those who could a ord it.
