Forks – Now

Despite experiments with linkage and inverted designs, telescopic forks – where the upper tubes slide inside the lowers – are virtually ubiquitous. In place of elastomers or steel coils, most modern forks use air springs, paired with highly-adjustable hydraulic dampers.
