Low-slung frames and bulky suspension linkages mean an increasing number of bikes require a side-loading bottle cage if you want to go packless. This BBB one is usefully ambidextrous and more secure than it initially feels. Because you can clip the bottle stop into either end (where it’s held in place by the frame bolt), you can use it left or right-handed. Although the flexible cage feels relatively limp, our sample has held onto full bottles at shallow angles even on super-rough tracks, including those used for the ’Ard Rock Enduro.
