These side-specific socks from Mavic come in three sizes and three colours (don’t worry, there’s a subtler grey offering too). The high cut is bang on trend and, most importantly, you don’t need to constantly yank them back up your leg, because they stay in position well enough. Those three sizes mean the fit is really quite accurate, as socks go. This helps to make them incredibly comfy for hours on end. While they’re not the thinnest cycling socks we’ve tried, they don’t feel overly warm on hot days and do a decent job of dealing with heat and sweat without getting smelly quickly. Rob www.mavic.com
