Invest in good gear
Clothing needs to be waterproof, breathable and quick-drying – think merino wool and Gore-Tex outerwear. With the weather being so unpredictable and harsh, it’s important to be prepared for every eventuality.
Go for a dip
Take a swimming costume – you won’t regret it! Bathing in one of Iceland’s warm geothermal pools is the perfect end to a day’s riding.
Pick the right dates
Check when is the best time to go for the type of riding you want to do. Iceland has a very short summer season, between June and August. Their winter, from October to May, gives a much bigger timespan for fatbike adventures.
