The opening of Leeds Urban Bike Park last year finally put this northern city on the mountain biking map. This excellent free-to-ride facility isn’t only a great place to build skills, but o ers enough progression for seasoned riders too. It’s complemented by the compact yet popular trail centre at Stainburn, just outside town, towards Harrogate. Built and maintained by volunteer group SingletrAction, the short trail loops here are feature-packed and lie on the doorstep to a whole host of great natural riding in the Yorkshire Dales.
