SO GOOD… Thanks to its shape and the deep, well-placed indent at the base of its neck, the 650ml Purist bottle is hugged nicely by most cages, giving a secure fit on rough trails. It’s flexible enough to give a good squirt of water through the nozzle, which has an internal pressure valve to stop leaks. The insulation keeps drinks cool for 45 minutes or so.

NO GOOD… We didn’t find it quite as well insulated as the CamelBak bottle, which is cheaper. It’s too tall for some cramped frames, with no smaller option. The nozzle needs a tug to unlock. www.specialized.com
