REVOLUTION BIKE PARK
With a mix of steep, rough and rooty DH runs and ballsy jump lines, uplift-only venue Revs is one of the best places in the country for testing your mettle, and really warrants taking a downhill bike. The Foster family have transformed this commercial woodland in North Wales into a full-scale bike park with more than 10 DH and freeride tracks. The 50:01 line has just had a major refurb, making it one of the best pro jump lines of its kind in the UK. They’re continually building new trails, with a new freeride line in the pipeline.
Freeride 2km
This may be the easiest descent at Revs but it’s far from boring, with huge berms and lots of jump options. It now runs right from the top to the bottom of the hill.
Main Line 1.5km
The park’s original track plunges you in at the deep end. With twisting ruts, steep chutes and rocks and roots to spice things up, it’s a rude introduction to Revs’ wilder side.
Vision Line 0.6km
Dreamt up by MBUK columnist Veronique Sandler, this pro jump line has small technical hits, big flowy doubles and a step-up trick jump. It offers a variety of different line choices, which all end with one of the most impressive looking on/off jumps around!
FFar Side 1.5km
Slicing a steep groove down the hill, Ffar Side is the ultimate test. Flat-out tabletops lead into steep chutes and drop-offs, before a fast pinball through the trees to finish. It’s a regular fixture on the DH race circuit and was rebuilt bigger last summer.
50:01 0.5km
Now boasting two new massive wooden kickers, this technical jump line is packed with rhythmed doubles, hips and step-up/ downs. Nothing is rollable, but once you get it dialled it’s one hell of a buzz!
