TOXIC PLANTS FOR PETS
If you’re thinking of adopting a pussy or pooch, be sure to check the garden before you bring them home. Here are some dangers to look for, and if you’re not sure, always seek veterinary advice:
LILIES While beautiful, lilies can be extremely toxic to cats. According to RSPCA NSW, ingesting even the smallest part of a lily plant may cause intoxication and death.
ALOE VERA While great for our skin, when pets eat aloe vera the result could be vomiting, diarrhoea and even tremors.
AZALEAS All parts of this plant are poisonous for pets. It can cause paralysis of the muscles and depression of the nervous system.
