LINCOLN LEWIS REVEALS ‘THE TRUTH ABOUT MY LOVE LIFE’

- By Holly Richards

One of Home And Away’s best-loved exports, notoriously private Lincoln Lewis has kept quiet on his personal life over the years. Now the hunky 29-year-old has broken his silence to New Idea, joking that ‘it’s complicated’ with on-again, off-again girlfriend Chloe Ciesla, 19. ‘That’s still one of those TBCS,’ he says. ‘I always keep that stuff to myself, but I’m one of those people that if it’s on I’ll never deny it. ‘I don’t have a proper answer. If I did have one, I’d say yes or no. It’s complicated.’ The couple dated in 2016, quietly breaking up a few months later. But fans speculated they had reunited when they were pictured together in July on holiday in Chloe’s home state of Western Australia. ‘They’re throwing it out there that we are back together,’ Lincoln says. ‘We all hate having a limbo thing, but that’s just the way it is. We’ll just see how it goes and whether something happens, it happens, or if it doesn’t, it doesn’t!’

Spending a lot of his time at home with his parents in Queensland, the son of rugby great Wally Lewis is eagerly awaiting his next acting role.

‘I’m just trying to keep busy, to be honest,’ he admits. ‘It sucks this time of year – there’s not a lot of productions going on.

‘The last year-and-a-half has been a little bit slow. I’m trying to stay proactive, but if you don’t work for long enough you start questioning your own ability, and you’re like: “Am I ever going to work again? Am I cut out for this?” It just goes up and down.

‘Thankfully I’ve got a really good rock with my family and a good support base of friends.’

The star – who played Geoff Campbell on Home And Away for three years – says he was grateful when he received the call for Hell’s Kitchen, but almost declined.

‘At the time, I was gearing up to go to LA, but it was during pilot season so I ended up knocking them back,’ he reveals. ‘But they gave me a call

when I was actually already over in LA and asked if there was any chance if I’d be interested still and they’d fly me back.

‘So I rang home. I always talk to my mum and dad and siblings before I do anything. We had a bit of a chat, weighed everything up. A couple of days later, I was on a plane home from LA!’

After a ‘hectic but fun’ ride on Hell’s Kitchen, Lincoln plans to return to Hollywood at the end of the year... that is, if he doesn’t get work on home soil first!

‘I’ve got two nephews and a third on the way,’ he explains.

‘It’s always good to be back and be with my family. I love working here at home, so that’s what I’m hoping to do more of.’
