‘MY DAUGHTER'S BULLYING HELL’

-

She’s one of the mostloved rock stars, with legions of adoring fans and a million reasons to be on top of the world.

But Pink, 37, last week opened up about her secret heartbreak, revealing how six-year-old daughter Willow had been bullied at school and was struggling with low self-esteem – referring to herself as ‘the ugliest girl she knew’.

Proving the old saying, ‘you’re only as happy as your unhappiest child’, Pink revealed that Willow’s shame and sadness left her furious, but prompted her to deliver a powerful and inspiring message.

Speaking at last week’s MTV VMAS, Pink shared the emotional story, revealing how her daughter’s reactions to cruel slurs and bullying from school friends left the singer to wonder: ‘Can I kick a six-year-old’s a**?’

But she went on to reveal how she convinced gorgeous Willow – who was in the audience with dad Carey Hart, 42 – to embrace her own beauty in an empowering speech (right), prompting a wave of support from mums around the world.

‘She’s the best mum EVER!’ one supporter commented on social media, while another wrote: ‘Pink for President!’

It’s not the first time that Pink has fought back against bullies – especially when it comes to cruel attacks on social media about her weight.

‘I don’t take well to bullying, I never have,’ she told E! News. ‘I’m not a person that will be bullied. I’m not a person that will stand by watching other people bullied.

‘I am a girl, I have feelings and people think I take no s*** and I’m tough, tougher than nails, but I’m a human being.’

Pink went on to point out that bullies think too highly of themselves and their opinions, which is why it’s important to fight back.

‘People have gotten it

wrong,’ she said. ‘They think their opinion matters and holds weight, and I don’t know where or why they’re giving themselves so much credit, you know?

‘So I thought it was important for me to remind them that I don’t care. My life is full, I like food a lot and I really like to cook. I like to live, I find joy in that, and we’re doing all right in the Hart household.’ Her tough stance on bullies followed an incident on social media where cruel haters slammed her as overweight after a red-carpet appearance in 2015. In response, Pink took to Twitter to deliver an inspiring comeback.

‘I can see that some of you are concerned about me from your comments about my weight,’ she wrote. ‘While I admit that the dress didn’t photograph as well as it did in my kitchen, I will also admit that I felt very pretty. In fact, I feel beautiful.’ She continued: ‘So, my good and concerned peoples, please don’t worry about me. I’m not worried about me. And I’m not worried about you either. I am perfectly fine, perfectly happy, and my healthy, voluptuous and crazy strong body is having some much deserved time off. Thanks for your concern.’ But while Pink has always adopted a tough stance on bullies, she notes that her war against haters has helped build strength and character over the years. She adds: ‘Unless you’ve been dragged through the dirt, then it really doesn’t end up being worth it when you get to the top, right?’

‘We don’t change. We take the gravel and the shell and we make a pearl’
