Have Hugh and Delta secretly tied the knot?

They’ve made no secret of their ongoing adoration for one another – but Hugh Sheridan has taken his friendship with Delta Goodrem one step further with some very surprising comments.

The Packed To The Rafters star opened up about his ‘love’ for the singer and actress on TV last week, even going so far as to say that they had discussed marriage and children.

Responding to persistent romance rumours about the couple – who regularly post loved-up and affectionate photos of one another on social media – Hugh revealed they were just friends.

‘We see photos... and we go, “Okay, put a ring on it, have kids, let’s get this next chapter going,”’ Hugh laughed to host Larry Emdur on The Morning Show.

‘We talked about it. I just don’t think so. I do love Delta, I love her so much, she is one of my dearest and best friends... but that doesn’t necessarily mean that there’s anything more than that.’

The 32-year-old went on to gush about the gorgeous star – but once again, cheekily brought up marriage between the unlikely pair.

‘Any guy that snaps Delta up would be incredibly lucky,’ Hugh revealed. ‘I’m sure she has a whole line.

‘But look, maybe one day we will get married, who knows? You never say never!’

Delta and Hugh have had fans guessing for months with their close friendship, sending social media into meltdown every time they upload a gushing post.

The singer wrote the caption: ‘this one’ with a love heart emoji on one affectionate snap – leading fans to comment that they were the ‘ultimate couple’ and: ‘Are you dating or besties?!’

Hugh sent the rumour mill into overdrive again weeks later after he posted a pic of himself kissing Delta on the cheek while cavorting in the pool together.

One fan wrote ‘OMG How beautiful this photo is? You two, cuteness and beautiful humans’, while another wrote: ‘Oh my goodness – you two are beautiful.’

Regardless of the rumours though, insiders close to the pair say they’re just friends.

‘They make a gorgeous couple but there’s nothing romantic to their relationship,’ says a source.

‘They’re very close and love stirring up the rumour mill – but that’s about it!’
