BUCK THE TREND

-

How refreshing it was to read your story on Jo Nemeth (NI Oct 9), the woman who spends no money. In a society where people want more disposable cash and spend endless amounts on purchasing stuff, Jo has certainly gone against the tide. How wonderfully freeing to get off the consumer treadmill. Vanessa Newton, Wentworth Falls, NSW.

ROYAL JOY

It’s so wonderful to see our Princess Mary gearing up to take the Danish throne. I have followed her intriguing journey since she first met Prince Frederik, and I’m so proud of the regal role model she’s become. Her grace, elegance and down-to-earth nature continue to be a breath of fresh air and I can’t wait to see her become the Queen of Denmark. I wish Mary and her family all the very best! M. Barnes, Fairfield, NSW.

WINNING SEASON

Without a doubt, this season of The Bachelorette with Sophie Monk is the funniest one yet. Sophie not only has beauty and brains, but her sense of humour is infectious and she doesn’t suffer fools lightly. Jarrod is definitely keen on Sophie and wants to win her affections, but ultimately, it will be where Sophie’s heart takes her. Christina Hatzis, Yokine, WA.

SAUCY OPTIONS

My wife and I are great fans of your food section and we absolutely loved your Bolognese Revival recipes (NI Oct 9). When we make bolognese sauce, we always make a large pot and then use leftovers creatively. We make chilli con carne, enchiladas, stuffed peppers, or potatoes and tacos. The list is endless! Michael Bowden, Rosebud, Vic.
