Harry and Meghan’s exciting baby news

-

Meghan Markle has sparked a fresh wave of pregnancy talk at The Invictus Games in Toronto, thanks to her bizarre food cravings, baggy outfits and a very ‘clucky’ Prince Harry. Seasoned palace reporters have told New Idea that royal circles are abuzz with whispers that the lovebirds are expecting their first child, pointing to the various key signs as proof. The pair’s surprise guest of honour at the Games’ Closing Ceremony – Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland – also raised eyebrows, leading many to wonder if she was there for a special family event. ‘It’s incredibly unusual for Harry to invite Meghan’s mother to an official function, certainly a big step outside royal protocol,’ one palace watcher told New Idea.

‘With all the baby talk swirling around for Harry and Meghan, we couldn’t help but wonder whether this was the moment they told her mum about their baby news.

‘Harry and Doria were locked in conversation for much of the night, and they seemed to be incredibly happy. When Harry wasn’t talking to Doria, he was kissing and cuddling Meghan – there was certainly a hint of celebration in the air.’

New pregnancy whispers were first sparked when it was revealed that Meghan had developed cravings for a specific pizza in recent weeks. The star’s desperation for the signature fig, honey and prosciutto pizza at Toronto’s Il Fornello had become so intense, that she was demanding her driver make the two-hour round trip to pick it

up while she was filming scenes for Suits last week.

‘Meghan often sends her driver and bodyguard for dinner,’ a source tells New Idea. ‘There is organic local food provided by caterers on set, but she only wants the best.

‘She sends for a Pizza Fichi from Il Fornello, which is all the way downtown. It’s a two-hour round trip. They took her own insulated pizza bag with them so it didn’t get cold.

‘She’s already living like a royal on set, security has really amped up and she has special fencing around her trailer.’

Adds Karen Mccall, a server at Il Fornello: ‘ We are known for our pizzas, which are cooked in a wood-burning oven. It’s great that Meghan is a fan of our food, we’ve been here 25 years and had quite a few celebrities in.’

Meghan’s wardrobe choices during her appearances by Harry’s side at the Invictus Games has also got the baby rumour mill churning – her baggy clothes a huge departure from the form-fitting styles she usually wears.

The 36-year-old actress has revealed her love of designers Victoria Beckham and Lanvin – both known for their knockout, slinky dresses – in the past, and usually wears clothes that show off her killer curves to big events.

‘I don’t think I’ve ever seen Meghan Markle turn up to an event in jeans and a baggy shirt before – much less a loose cardigan and baggy T-shirt,’ says one Hollywood fashion commentator. ‘She’s usually wearing beautiful, fitted clothes straight from the runway.

‘It’s no surprise that everyone is wondering whether she’s hiding a bump under there.’

Meanwhile, ‘clucky’ Prince Harry did nothing to quell the pregnancy rumours after his adorable antics with babies and toddlers at the Games, which attracted headlines worldwide.

In particular, the 33-yearold’s endearing games with two-year-old Emily Henson – the daughter of athlete Dave Henson, who’s a close friend of Harry’s – over a packet of popcorn caused social media to go into meltdown.

In the gorgeous video, Emily can be seen cheekily stealing popcorn from Harry – leading the lovable prince to playfully tease the gorgeous toddler when she’s caught red-handed.

Adds a palace correspondent: ‘We’ve seen Prince Harry send hearts soaring by entertaining little kids in the past, but he and Emily stole the show!

‘Harry took his cute interactions with kids at the Games to the next level, and we’re all wondering if he’s extra clucky at the moment for a reason. Time will tell!’
