Who will survive Summer Bay’s big explosion? Plus, five mins with Tania Nolan

WHEN A MASSIVE EXPLOSION ERUPTS, FOUR SUMMER BAY FAVOURITES HAVE THEIR LIVES PUT ON THE LINE

It was supposed to be a romantic getaway for Justin, Scarlett, Robbo and Kat, but things turn deadly this week on Home And Away. Arriving at their secluded cabin in the woods, the group are being watched by a stranger who followed them from the city. Settling into their new country digs, Robbo (Jake Ryan) busies himself by gathering firewood. While out in the woods, some wiring catches Robbo’s eye, and while it puzzles him, he carries on collecting wood – none the wiser that an explosive device has been planted nearby.

Kat (Pia Miller) and Robbo try their hand at canoeing, as Justin (James Stewart) and Scarlett (Tania Nolan) watch and kick back with a beer. Scarlett still has her ex-husband Caleb (Josh Mcconville) on her mind, but with things going so smoothly with her and Justin, her ex is starting to become a distant memory.

As day turns to night, the group enjoy the warmth of the fire, sharing stories and declaring their getaway a success. But have they spoken too soon? They still have no idea about the explosive device.

‘Robbo senses that something is off, but no-one is aware that they are being watched,’ Tania explains. ‘They’re relishing in this time alone. For Scarlett in particular, it’s a chance to escape from her reality.’

Scarlett is the first to head to bed. It’s not long before everyone else follows suit and retires for the night. But just as Robbo gets into bed, the image of the wire he found in the bushes flashes into his mind. He wants to take another look at it.

On his second trip out to the bushes, he notices something he didn’t spot earlier in the afternoon – a glow behind the firewood. It’s the explosive device, and on closer inspection, there’s a timer with only 30 seconds left before detonation.

Robbo screams for everyone to wake up. Sprinting back into the cabin, he grabs Kat and tries to wake Justin. Everyone leaps out of their beds and heads to the front door, but Scarlett is yet to wake up.

Realising Scarlett is still inside, Justin runs back in to get her, but they are out of time and the cabin explodes.

As massive flames erupt around Robbo and Kat, who made it outside in time, Scarlett and Justin are nowhere to be seen. Will the Bay favourites survive the blast?
