SOPHIE & STU’S MIRACLE BABY!

SOPHIE & STU’S HAPPY NEWS

-

Aussie sweetheart Sophie Monk’s dream of becoming a mum finally came true when she confessed her love for Stu Laundy on national television.

Even before going public with their romance after the grand finale of The Bachelorette, the loved-up duo made no secret of their plans to start a family together straight away.

‘I told him I want a baby and to get married,’ the 37-year-old revealed to Jackie O on national radio last month.

And now New Idea can finally reveal Sophie and $500 million pub heir Stu, 44, are hoping to fall pregnant soon.

According to the source, the former singer, and Stu, a father-of-four, have their fingers crossed for a baby in the near future.

‘They couldn’t be happier with the way it’s turned out,’ a friend tells New Idea. ‘Stu has been so attentive and extra protective over Soph and she is enjoying seeing his softer side.’

As they busily plan their future and decide where to base themselves once they start a family, Sophie has confided in friends that she is elated it’s happening so fast.

‘Soph is not getting any younger so this would give her a head start on a ready-made family,’ confirms the friend.

‘They both know it’s going to be tough at points, and Soph doesn’t have a lot of experience with kids, but with Stu by her side she really feels ready for anything.’

It’s likely the couple will need the help of IVF after Stu’s confession he had undergone a vasectomy after fathering four children of his own.

And while Sophie was initially unable to hide her disappointment, she later learned that her desire to become a mum was not over.

‘Stu told her that he had planned ahead and frozen his sperm,’ says a friend. ‘It wasn’t her first choice for conceiving, but it has saved them from waiting months to see if a reversal operation would work.’

A devoted father himself, Stu had no hesitation in starting the process with one of the world’s top fertility specialists – even hinting at the process in a cryptic Instagram post.

‘He says he hasn’t been this happy in years and he knew that becoming pregnant quickly is what Sophie wanted,’ says the friend. ‘He loves his kids and spends a lot of time with them, so he thinks adding to his brood will be a win-win.’ NI
