es, that’s right, Home And Away fans. The pitter-patter of tiny feet will soon be heard in Summer Bay! When policewoman Kat (Pia Miller) reveals to Robbo (Jake Ryan) that she is pregnant with her first child, he is in shock. But after he takes a moment to digest the news, there’s no doubt about it... he’s thrilled, and he wants to marry Kat!
‘Robbo is in complete shock, but it’s a welcomed shock,’ Jake gushes to New Idea.
‘It’s the first bit of good news he has received in a while and the idea of a fresh life with Kat gives him hope.
‘Robbo is thrilled at the idea of becoming a dad. It gives him purpose and a whole new life to look forward to.’
After a tough few weeks of searching for answers about his real identity and the reason behind his memory loss, this is the good news Robbo needed.
‘Robbo believes he would be a great dad,’ Jake explains.
‘He is very caring, protective and has a lot of love to give. It’s a great way to make good of his troubled past.
‘It gives him a direction and something to focus on and move forward from his past. Build a new fresh life revolving around Kat and the baby.’
As for popping the question to Kat, it’s a no-brainer for Robbo, who beneath his confusion and anger has a heart of gold.
‘Robbo proposes because he believes it’s the right thing to do,’ reasons Jake.
‘He loves Kat dearly and wants the baby to arrive into a loving married life. Maybe he doesn’t think it through at the time, but he 100 per cent loves Kat and wants to spend the rest of his life with her.’
However, things aren’t quite that simple for poor Kat.
She’s not processing the news of the baby very well, and when Robbo drops to one knee, she doesn’t know how to react.
