Schapelle’s baby mystery

THE CONTROVERSIAL QUEENSLANDER IS DROPPING SOME BIG HINTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

-

Schapelle Corby’s social media accounts have set the rumour mill on fire with whispers she may be pregnant!

Even though her soulmate Ben Panangian remains in Bali, an Indonesian friend of Schapelle’s has said the pair were actively trying to conceive a baby before she returned to Australia in May.

Days ago, Schapelle posted a photograph of herself sitting in a giant bird’s nest – in the Bedugul region of Bali – alongside the simple, cryptic caption: ‘Nesting’.

One commentator posted: ‘Is this a hint you’re pregnant Darl?’ While another asked: ‘Bun in the oven?’

Another cheeky fan even speculated that Schapelle could be expecting twins, writing: ‘Laying an egg? or 2.’

It’s clear the forced separation from her Balinese beau has been a huge cause of sadness for the convicted drug smuggler.

‘Missing this man,’ Schapelle wrote on a throwback photo of the loved-up pair together, posted to Instagram on October 10. In the snap, taken two months after Schapelle’s release from prison, a caring Ben appears to hold Schapelle steady as she stands on top of a tree stump in a traditional fishing village on a small island off Bali.

Adding more fuel to the baby rumours, on October 4 Schapelle posted a video to Instagram of her sisters visiting her in hospital, following her recent knee surgery. She used the hashtag #babytalk.

Is the 40-year-old trying to tell us she is broody?

Schapelle’s mother Rosleigh Rose previously told New Idea her daughter is certainly ready to be a mum.

‘I would say she would love to settle down and start a family of her own,’ Rosleigh said.

Schapelle dotes on her niece and nephews and in the wake of her recent milestone birthday, she may be worrying that time is against her.

Schapelle and Ben fell in love in 2006, while they were both serving prison sentences for drug convictions in Bali’s Kerobokan prison.

Ben was the man who stayed by her side after her release from jail and kept her company in her Kuta home.

However, a reunion between the lovestruck pair may be some way off.

With Ben’s criminal record, it’s unlikely he’d be granted an Australian visa, and anti-drug campaigners have rallied for Schapelle to be banned from Bali for good.

Of course, her cryptic posts could also be an indication that Schapelle is back in her beloved Bali – but with her conviction and visa restrictions, this is highly unlikely. NI
