THE HAPPY COUPLE MARRIED AT LAST

THE FIRST KISS

-

Emerging from St George’s Chapel as man and wife, Harry and Meghan looked the picture perfect couple.

Standing at the steps, Harry was ecstatic as he beamed from ear-to-ear, barely able to take his eyes off his bride – clearly overcome with joy about his wonderful new life with Meghan. Now known as the Duchess of Sussex, the bride smiled at the crowds as she gently held her prince’s hand and before they kissed for the first time as husband and wife.

There was a moment of uncertainty over their first kiss as Meghan discreetly asked Harry: ‘Do we kiss?’ to which Harry quietly replied: ‘Yeah.’ What followed was a lingering and romantic embrace that will stay with fans for many, many years.

The couple walked down the steps flanked by palace guards, while the royal family watched the couple approach the Ascot Landau carriage to embark on the procession through the streets of Windsor.

Harry and Meghan’s first kiss as husband and wife was perfectly in sync with the feel of the whole day – simple and romantic.

Standing on the steps of St George’s chapel in front of 200 members of the public who are associated with some of their favourite organisations, Meghan and Harry lovingly locked lips to mark the occasion.

‘The kiss on the West Steps was beautiful,’ royal expert Phil Dampier tells New Idea. ‘It looked like they rehearsed it, it was so perfect.’

The smooch continued the royal ‘first kiss’ tradition that was started by Harry’s parents Prince Charles and Princess Diana on their wedding day in 1981.
