WHAT FUNNY THINGS HAVE YOUR MM AND KIDS SAID LATELY?

-

PLASTIC FANTASTIC

On receiving her birthday present from us – a dolly all packaged up – Miss Five handed it back for us to try to open it. After fumbling with cardboard, staples and plastic covering, hubby grumbled and grumbled about the stupid thing and the packaging, to which Miss Five replied logically: ‘Well why did you buy it then?!’ P. MACEY, SHOALWATER, WA.

KING OF THE CASTLE

My husband and I were getting a king-size bed and mattress delivered to our house. Our six-year-old twins Alister and Sammuel announced to their friends that: ‘We are getting the king’s bed tomorrow.’ ALICIA SANSON, EMERALD, QLD.

THE TOOTH OF IT

My elderly uncle was having lunch at our family get-together when one of his teeth fell out. Unbeknown to me, he put it on a side plate and so it became lost later when I washed the dishes. He was rather upset, so one of the little ones at the table said: ‘Are you sad because you can’t give your tooth to the tooth fairy now?’ F. ROONEY, SALE, VIC.

KNEE TO STOP

We were attending mass at our parish church when we noticed a new family. The children knelt at the appropriate time, but when it was time to kneel again, a little girl, around six years old, yelled out: ‘You have to be kidding me!’ That comment made us all smile. JULIE ZAMMIT, ROXBURGH PARK, VIC.
