CELEBRITY HEALER CHARLIE GOLDSMITH REVEALS HIS SECRETS TO CURING THE STARS

- By Faye James

Charlie Goldsmith has just finished being investigated by Channel Seven’s Sunday Night, but this humble individual has a gift that he claims has helped hundreds of people banish their pain with his powerful healing. He talks exclusively to New Idea about his work and the celebrities he’s healed – including his biggest fan, Miranda Kerr.

The Melbourne-based nephew of Olivia Newton-john, who offers all his services pro bono, has not only healed everyone from newborn babies to the elderly, but has plenty of Western doctors who publicly back the work he does.

Charlie, who makes his living from his two businesses – chocolate company Pumpy Jackson and marketing firm Cassette – says he offers his services for free so that he can treat those most in need.

‘When people come to me with a request, I want to really ensure I am helping those who most need it. If I charged for my services then I wouldn’t have the time to invest in those who desperately need help,’ he says.

In 2015, New York University’s Lutheran published a study they had done on Charlie and they found that of the 50 people he treated, there was a 76 per cent success rate among those with pain-related conditions, with immediate ‘marked improvement’, and 79 per cent success with conditions other than pain. This has set him up for a double-blind study that will start with NYU this year.

He is keen for more studies to be done on his work, so the broader medical community can accept it. ‘I welcome as much research as possible on the topic. The more people understand that it works, the better I can help people,’ Charlie explains.

His latest appearance on Andrew Denton’s Interview received some backlash after it aired, but Charlie remains remarkably positive about the experience and is pleased with the overwhelming support from the general public.

‘At least the show brought awareness to the phenomenon and I’m relieved Sunday Night is taking the time to look further.

‘For the past month, they have been filming me at work on patients, which gives the opportunity for people to truly decide for themselves,’ he says.

With Sunday Night, Charlie is excited about the opportunity.

‘I appreciate the journalists looking into my work. All that matters to me is that people take the time to look before passing judgement.’

In his Us-based show The Healer, the handsome 37-yearold is also shown to heal celebrities Jennifer Grey and Real Housewives star Kyle Richards, while supermodel Miranda Kerr and actor Gerard Butler are firm fans.

Charlie likes to concentrate most of his efforts on those who need his help as a priority, but here, some of his trade secrets about the celebrities he’s healed are revealed...

TOTTIE GOLDSMITH Charlie’s sister Tottie has also been healed by her younger brother.

‘I have seen it, so I know it,’ the actress and singer admits. ‘There are certain things he can help with, and certain things he can’t.

‘As he has gotten older and more experienced, he has worked out where his strengths lie, and I think that is fantastic.’

Tottie is proud of her younger brother and is pleased to see him continue his work despite the sceptics. ‘I think it’s brave to put it out there, I’m really proud of him,’ she continues.

‘He has really stuck to what he believed in, and what he wants to do. He hopes to open a lot of doors to people that do this kind of work.’ OLIVIA NEWTONJOHN Charlie is currently spending a few days at his aunt Olivia’s retreat in Byron Bay’s Gaia to rest from the filming for Sunday Night. He says she’s very aware of the process. ‘I have worked on her in the past. Of course, she’s been

‘WHEN PEOPLE COME TO ME... I WANT TO REALLY ENSURE I AM HELPING THOSE WHO MOST NEED IT’

through it all before and she’s very knowledgeable in that area. She’s got really great access to lots of different things, access to lots of different interventions – from natural to conventional – so she’s well equipped, better than most.’ MIRANDA KERR Miranda is one of Charlie’s biggest fans and she has supported his work for over a decade. ‘Miranda and I have known each other for almost 10 years. She is really kind, and given the life she has, she’s always stayed a humble person. I’ve helped treat her various ailments and she’s a really special individual to me as she’s supported my worth throughout,’ says Charlie, adding: ‘Not many people have stood up and openly supported my work, but she has and I really appreciated that.’ JENNIFER GREY Charlie treated the Dirty Dancing star for chronic neck pain in the first episode of his show.

‘Jennifer said she felt markedly better when she received the healing,’ said Charlie.

In the show she is seen giving Charlie a huge hug and thanking him for his treatment.

‘I’ve never experienced anything like what Charlie is capable of,’ Jennifer said. ‘I hope everyone gets to see this show because it is truly impossible to understand, but it is undeniable when you see it. Charlie’s gift will certainly be looked back on, and in no uncertain terms, as the real deal. I will probably never understand what I’ve seen, but I feel honoured to have been a part of it.’

GERARD BUTLER Charlie has known Gerard for around five years. ‘I treated some issues and he was kind enough to write the support letter for me to go to the US, and he let the producers film him while I treated him for a pilot for the show. He’s always been really supportive of me and my work,’ Charlie says. ‘He is a firm believer in healing.’ KYLE RICHARDS The Real Housewives star came to Charlie for her fibromyalgia. After Kyle’s mum died, doctors told her she was depressed – but she was later diagnosed.

‘When I treated Kyle, she experienced enormous benefits. It was really good to see her symptoms improve as I know she was suffering a lot. Months later she told me she was still doing really well, which is great to know,’ Charlie adds.
