When Jennifer Aniston married Justin Theroux in Mexico, it was supposed to be her ‘happily ever after’. But, since splitting with her husband of two years, the Hollywood sweetheart is getting over her heartbreak with a $100,000 makeover!
The 49-year-old actress was shocked to discover last week that ex, Justin, was getting cosy and enjoying a sun-soaked romantic holiday in the South of France with her old friend, actress Emma Stone, 29.
Pals close to the star say she feels hurt by how quickly he’s moved on – with someone so much younger – so Jen decided the best revenge was to focus on herself.
Jen is also still feeling the sting from the news Brad Pitt has been getting close to young and beautiful architect Neri Oxman, 42, after reportedly rekindling the flame with her ex-husband earlier this year, following her split from Justin.
The two were said to be tying the knot in Brad’s hometown, Missouri, at the end of this year, according to his old Pastor Reverend Swadley. There were also rumours of Jen being pregnant with his child.
‘Jen’s been feeling more and more insecure about looking older, and her split from Justin only made her feel worse,’ the source tells New Idea. ‘And now that he’s in a new relationship with Emma, after being linked to a string of other younger women, it only makes things worse. She knows she can’t compete with 20- and 30-something women.’
The source adds: ‘Jen is determined to move on from Justin, but she also wants to show him what he’s missing and hopes he’ll regret walking out on her.’
But her refresh isn’t cheap, with the Friends star said to be indulging in a multitude of expensive treatments.
‘She’s already consulted with some of the most advanced and progressive anti-ageing specialists in Hollywood. She’s not interested in having cosmetic surgery, she doesn’t want to look plastic, she just wants her youthful glow back so she’s the best version of herself,’ the insider says.
Jen has been open in the past about her use of non-invasive treatments.
‘I love lasers and
Thermage and Ultherapy [ultrasound facials]. I also like a good micro-current facial,’ Jen confessed. But now she’s stepping it up a notch.
‘She’s started having antiageing IV drips and diamond facials, which are setting her back $7000 each time,’ the insider says. ‘But by far the most extravagant thing she’s doing is taking Evian water baths twice a day – which is costing Jen around $70,000 a week.’
The A-list actress, who has always maintained a healthy, natural look, knows it’s a lot of money, but she doesn’t care – it’s making her feel good and look amazing, which after many months of heartache is worth it to her.
‘Jen might be approaching 50, but she has the sass and sex appeal of a woman half her age. This extreme makeover is all about making her realise that she still has what it takes to impress the opposite sex... and Justin for that matter,’ the source adds.
However, looking good still won’t take the sting out of the sense of betrayal she feels, not just from Emma, but from some of her non-celeb pals too.
Jen has severed all ties with anyone associated with Justin, including shared friends and even all her old stylists and colourists, so she can move on and get on with her life.
‘It’s annoying that pretty much everyone she used before is now taking appointments with Justin,’ an insider claimed to Radar. ‘She was friends with a lot of them, but she’s had to let these people go if they’re not loyal.’
