Nicole’s fury as Keith prepares to tell all in a new book.

Just when we thought these lovebirds couldn’t have it any better, reports have surfaced that Nicole Kidman is ‘freaking out’ about hubby Keith Urban’s memoir, due to be published in a tell-all book, as New Idea can exclusively reveal.
After causing her recent embarrassment with the sexy song about their bedroom habits, Nicole, 50, is at odds as to why Keith has gone the extra step to expose his chequered past and sordid secrets about their relationship.
According to sources, large sections of the book are devoted to his wife, along with candid admissions about his addiction and details about other women – which he’s refusing to show her!
‘Nic is having nightmares that she will get painted in a bad light and Keith will reveal things she wants kept secret,’ discloses a pal. ‘She’s going through hell that he will air all their dirty laundry in public.’
Even worse, Keith, 50, has been telling friends in Nashville that the autobiography is ‘a frank account of his life – the good, the bad and the ugly – and it doesn’t hold back when it comes to dishing on life with Nicole!’
Writing the book has been helping fill a void in his life now he is no longer a judge on American Idol and is said to be a therapeutic outlet for him. ‘He has been very open with Nicole [about] penning his autobiography – sometimes he lets her read over his shoulder when he is sat at his computer,’ says the source.
Keith has been married to Nicole for almost 12 years and rumours that the couple were headed for divorce surfaced earlier this year. The couple apparently attended a marriage boot camp to help them get back on track.
During their marriage they’ve had their ups and downs, with Nicole struggling to deal with Keith’s addiction issues along with rumours over his infidelity.
Could the revelations in his new book send the couple back to marriage boot camp? It seems likely as being parents of two
young daughters – Sunday, nine, and Faith, seven – Keith and Nicole are keen to stay together.
BOOZE AND DRUGS
The country star began penning the book after his birthday last October. He was inspired by rocker Bruce Springsteen’s 2016 autobiography, which disclosed that he had been suffering from depression for many years.
‘Keith has had his own battle with booze and drugs and he’s proud of the way he has cleaned up his act,’ says the insider. ‘That’s why he has opened up about it because he wants to inspire other people.’
SPATS AND SPLITTING UP
According to the source, Keith has also been pouring his heart out about his relationship with Nicole, their struggle to have kids, what he thinks of her exhusband Tom Cruise, and her other men. He’s being brutally open about his own love life too, and his feelings about Nicole’s Hollywood pals including Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Naomi Watts.
‘He’s got a lot off his chest and it’s a no-holds-barred account of his life and marriage to Nicole – including details about their fights and times they came close to divorcing,’ the source spills.
NIC’S SECRETS EXPOSED
Keith, who is currently touting the book to publishers, has been told it will be more successful if he spills everything on Nicole.
‘As you can imagine there is a lot of interest, but everyone who Keith has spoken to has told him that the book will be more successful if he opens up about Nicole – and that’s exactly what he has done. Keith is hoping he can make $5 to 10 million out of the book and he says it’s his retirement fund.’
There are large sections he refuses to let her see, where he has written about her and the people in her life! ‘The trouble is Keith is always very careful to log off when he is done writing and Nic hasn’t been able to get a sneaky look,’ the source reveals.
According to the insider, Nic has spent a lot of time trying to guess Keith’s password, but she has drawn a blank. She has been using all her feminine charms to try to persuade Keith to let her read every word he has written, but to no avail.
‘He says she will have to wait until he has decided what he wants to leave in the book and what he doesn’t want her to see. It’s torture for Nic because she is desperate to know what Keith is hiding from her.’
