WEDDING SEASON

Huge congratulations to Lisa Curry and Mark Tabone (NI May 21) on their recent wedding! They seem like the perfect match, and along with becoming a first-time grandmother, Lisa is simply glowing with happiness. So glad she has found her ‘happily ever after’ and I wish her and Mark all the very best for their life together. DEBRA MCLAREN, BARGO, NSW.

FOR THE HONOUR

I can’t imagine the grief that has shattered the lives of Maddie Kelly and her parents, following the tragic deaths of both their beloved sons (NI May 28). And it’s sad to hear that Maddie continues to blame herself for not being able to help Stuart in his hour of need. Maddie has nothing to be guilty about. Despite her heartbreak, Maddie has managed to move forward, recently graduating with a law degree. Maddie can’t bring her brothers back but she’s honouring their lives by making her days count, and she should be very proud of herself. JUDITH CAINE, DONVALE, VIC.

BREAKING THE RULES

Harry and Meghan’s wedding was just so magical! Thank you New Idea for the wedding issue (NI May 28). It was a ceremony that broke all the rules, blending tradition with modern romance. They did it their way and I applaud their courage for doing that. It was informal, relaxed and the love they share was so evident. It is so sad that Princess Diana was not able to be there to share such a significant milestone. I think she and Meghan would have had so much in common. Harry honoured his beloved mother on the day by including her favourite flowers in Meghan’s bouquet, which I thought was so very special. Harry and Meghan have all the ingredients for a long and happy life. GAEL BROWN, ALFRED COVE, WA.
