5 BEST MOMENTS OF JURASSIC PARK FILMS
It’s been 25 years since Jurassic Park first had us trembling in the cinema, and we still can’t get enough. We look back at the franchise’s best moments...
JURASSIC PARK RAPTORS IN THE KITCHEN
Thinking they’re safe, Lex (Ariana Richards) and Tim (Joseph Mazzello) enjoy a meal, only to find a pack of raptors in the kitchen. To this day, it remains one of the film’s most terrifying scenes giving children nightmares about their own kitchens!
JURASSIC PARK FIRST DINOSAUR SIGHTING
We know there are dinosaurs on the island, but Steven Spielberg keeps the big reveal under wraps and the audience gets to meet the brachiosauruses when the characters first see them. The CGI was like nothing we had ever seen before and the image will stick in our minds forever.
PARK THE LOST WORLD: JURASSIC IAN AND SARAH’S CLIFFHANGER
Ian (Jeff Goldblum) and Sarah (Julianne Moore) find themselves hanging over the edge of a cliff with nothing but a rear-view window between them and certain death. The tension in this scene is something we will never forget!
JURASSIC WORLD OWEN TRAINS RAPTORS
The famous velociraptors have returned 22 years later, but they are a far cry from the terrifying creatures we remember – from blood-thirsty killers to a trained raptor squad, Owen is able to command the raptors to stop their attack and we are captivated by the relationship between man and dinosaur.
JURASSIC PARK FIRST T-REX SIGHTING
As the T-rex escapes from its enclosure, it wreaks havoc on cars and devours the park lawyer before Alan (Sam Neil) distracts it with a flare. To this day nothing instils fear in the hearts of people as much as the image of trembling water in a glass!
