We recently lost our beloved Dalmatian, Dolly. She had cancer and we had to have her put to sleep. I feel guilty that we couldn’t protect her from this illness. Also, as the vet took her away, she turned around and looked at me. I felt so bad. She was a very cheeky and affectionate dog and we miss her a lot. KRISTINE, VIA EMAIL.

As I tune into the spirit world I sense Dolly’s energy coming through to greet you again as she says this isn’t the first time you have had contact from her since she passed. There have been two other occasions – through vivid dream visitations from the other side – so you are very lucky that Dolly is so close and wants to stay in touch with you.

Dolly really wishes to reassure you she is safe on the other side and that she did not feel any pain in her passing. It was a gentle drifting off to sleep before Dolly woke up in the spirit world and was made aware she was safe and would be very much loved and cared for by those who passed before her.

Dolly says by helping her to sleep you prevented her from a lot of pain she would have gone on to suffer had she stayed. Dolly thanks you for the compassion you all showed.

Our family dog Fletcher was 15 years old and sadly we had to put him down. I was wanting to know if he is happy and OK? Thank you. NATALIE.

It is always so heartbreaking to put one of our dearest friends to sleep even though we know in our heart it is the best and most loving action we can take for them. Fletcher (or ‘Fletch’ he says he was sometimes called) felt incredibly loved his entire life with you and he sends his love back to all those he knew in life.

Fletcher has so much energy and charisma and did so many things which made you laugh and smile. He shows himself running around so fast that you thought he might crash into something, and he shows himself rolling over and over on the ground like a hippopotamus in the water. Fletcher has such a great spirit and personality. He is still around and says one of you is replacing a fence and doing some work in the garden which he can see. There are also references to the beach and water.
