BRAD AND ANGE’S KIDS IN TURMOIL THE JOLIE-PITT CHILDREN ARE SPLIT BETWEEN THEIR PARENTS
As Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce turns nasty, the six kids – Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12 and twins Vivienne and Knox, 10, are being pulled from pillar to post and find themselves having to take sides.
Last week Angelina was spotted walking around the Los Feliz neighbourhood of Los Angeles with Shiloh and Knox. The two children are said to prefer spending time with their mother, since their parents’ separation and continuing battle.
The outing comes just days after the Maleficent actress filed court documents that their father is ‘unfit to parent’ and has ‘paid no meaningful child support’ in what some insiders say is a move to quash joint custody of their children.
‘It’s no secret that Angie would like to get full custody of the children and move abroad,’ a source spilled to Radar Online. ‘Brad does not want to have to fly eight or nine hours each time he wants to see his children. He is trying to keep the status quo.’
Last week it was reported that Brad is furious at Ange and thinks it’s ‘disgusting’ that she has gone public with their messy divorce proceedings and fight over custody.
A source told The Blast that the actor thinks their divorce battle should remain private because some of their children are now old enough to read about it on social media and on the internet.
In the meantime, the kids are being split between the two parents with only the oldest, Maddox, being allowed to decide how much time he spends with each of his parents.
In May The Enquirer reported the 17-year-old had begged Brad to let him live with him, while earlier last month Zahara and Vivienne, who are also said to favour spending time with their father, were seen boarding a private plane in the UK on the way to see Brad in California.
If joint custody is granted the question remains where and with whom the kids choose to spend their time, and whether their family will become more torn apart than ever.
