MEGHAN AND HARRY’S BABYMOON & TOUR
THE ROYAL COUPLE HAVE A JAM-PACKED BABYMOON PLANNED!
After weeks of intense media speculation, Prince Harry and a secretly pregnant Duchess Meghan are finally due to set foot on Australian soil this week to start their whirlwind tour of the Pacific.
The trip is a babymoon for the couple, one of their last trips abroad before they welcome a child.
Officials have yet to confirm Meghan’s pregnancy, with a Kensington Palace source stating: “There will be no palace pregnancy announcement until after Princess Eugenie’s wedding and the Sydney Invictus Games so as not to steal anyone’s thunder.”
However, with confirmation from Kensington Palace that Harry will take part in a revealing new interview at Admiralty House on Oct. 21, royal watchers are speculating that the prince will use this opportunity to announce Meghan’s pregnancy.
Officials have been told to be especially careful with the duchess, with those close to the prince stating Harry is anxious to protect his pregnant wife. As well as skipping out on visiting Fiji, the duchess is also expected to miss out on a Sydney Harbour Bridge climb.
The couple aren’t believed to be staying in the official government building of Admiralty House. Instead, Kensington Palace insiders say the couple will use it as a “diversion tactic” while choosing to stay in a secret eastern suburbs “safe house”.
They will be with Meghan’s mum Doria Ragland, who – as New Idea revealed last week – is accompanying her daughter to provide emotional support during her pregnancy.
And it’s certainly set to be a jam-packed
schedule for the popular royal couple, who are set to visit NSW, Queensland and Victoria, as well as heading to Tonga and New Zealand during their 15-day royal tour.
Kensington Palace has confirmed that a retinue of 10 staff members will accompany the royal couple – who will take commercial flights between Australia and the UK, with the airfares being paid for by both the Australian and New Zealand governments. The staffers will include one digital officer, three communications officers, a private secretary and a personal hairdresser to assist Duchess Meghan.
Insiders also suggest that Harry and Meghan will use their time in Sydney to slip away for a quick babymoon, with the pair hoping to snatch some time to be able to visit some of their many Aussie celebrity friends.
However, the majority of their time will be spent attending official Invictus Games events and formal functions – such as a reception at Sydney’s Bennelong Restaurant on Oct. 20.
