MAKE OR BREAK AUSSIE HOLIDAY

THE FAMILY HAVE HAD FUN DESPITE THE DRAMA IN THEIR LIVES

-

Determined to make the best of their Australian holiday and show a united front for their children, Victoria and David Beckham put on brave faces in Sydney last week.

Down Under to support David’s ambassador role for the Invictus Games, the couple have been plagued with rumours over the past few months that they are on the brink of a split.

Things reached a head with David’s exclusion from a shoot for the October cover of British Vogue. Then tensions escalated last week when he gave an interview describing his marriage as “hard work”.

The family were all smiles as they enjoyed an excursion to Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventures in Sydney’s north. They abseiled, went on a quad bike ride and helped feed newborn foals.

On Instagram, Victoria, 44, shared a playful photo of David, 43, joking, “careful with that rope!”, as the dad-of-four had a go at abseiling.

Later, the family – minus eldest son, Brooklyn, 19, who hasn’t been spotted on the trip – enjoyed dinner at Sydney restaurant Mr Wong.

It was a far cry from reports that Victoria had “cried for two days” after David hinted at struggles in their marriage.

“It’s always hard work. Everybody knows that, but you make it work,’ he told The Project’s Lisa Wilkinson, adding awkwardly, “you make difficult situations like travelling away and being away from each other … you make it work.”

According to The Sun, Victoria was left “absolutely devastated” by her husband’s tone-deaf

comments.
