BEA’S SECRET WEDDING!
THE PRINCESS AND EDO SEEN IN PUBLIC FOR THE FIRST TIME
Princess Beatrice was spotted looking very loved up with her new beau and long-term family friend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi at a gala event at The National Gallery last week, and now rumours have surfaced that the couple had a secret wedding!
Sarah Ferguson was recently pictured with a bouquet of flowers, in mother-of-the-bride attire with a huge smile across her face, sparking murmurs she was en route to her youngest daughter’s wedding. Indeed, Fergie posted a message on International Women’s Day to her social media account expressing how proud she was of her daughters. “Thinking of some of the strong women who’ve been part of my life – my late mother, my dear, departed friends Diana and Carolyn Cotterell and my fierce, beautiful, loving daughters Beatrice and Eugenie who make me proud every day,” she wrote.
Edo is the son of Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi and socialite Nikki Shale, and well known in royal circles, but having broken off his engagement to the mother of his child, Dara Huang, to be with Beatrice, he has been a bit of a taboo topic behind palace walls, particularly with the Queen.
It’s believed Bea was told she would not be not allowed a formal royal wedding and wouldn’t be entitled to any of the royal protocols or budget that her sister was afforded for her recent wedding due to the nature of their relationship.
Palace insiders said that Fergie was the only one supporting her daughter amid the barrage of negative press about Bea’s romance – which caused furious rows between her and Andrew, who sided with his mother and was “desperately urging Bea to dump Edo immediately” before she created more shame for the family.
Fergie however was “thrilled” her daughter has found love with Edo. “How sweet it is that two families who have known each other for so many years can think that something permanent can come of this,” a friend overheard her say previously.
The secret wedding may have been organised due to Beatrice’s wish to have children as soon as possible.
Friends close to the 30-yearold princess say she has been “longing to become a mother” for some time and has been incredibly broody watching her close pals have babies.
