At just 30-years-old, Zoe Michele has battled through many health conditions – from PCOS and type 2 diabetes to an underactive thyroid and fatty liver disease – seeing her inevitably pile on unwanted kilos throughout her twenties. Six months ago, Zoe set out on a health kick and lifestyle change to lose weight and get healthier, and impressively lost 12kg along the way.

Embarking on our 6-Week Challenge, Zoe was excited and motivated to continue along her health and weight-loss journey. And she is rapt with the results! “Throughout the past six weeks I’ve lost 3.5kg and I’ve seen decreases in all my body measurements and dropped a clothing size,” Zoe reveals excitedly. She adds that her core strength has improved, she can now lift heavier weights and is enjoying the gym more than ever, and mentally she feels overall much more positive and motivated to keep going to achieve her longer term goals. “You have to be self-disciplined but also, if I miss a gym session here and there or eat something naughty, I know not to beat myself up over it and throw all my progress out the window,” she says.

Having her mum, Leonie, and aunty Trudi join her along the challenge has been motivating for them all and brought them all even closer together as a family. “I’m so proud of how well they’ve done! And I’ve noticed a big mental shift in them both,” Zoe adds. Leonie agrees wholeheartedly and says she too has thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. “Not only have I lost 3kg, it’s given me motivation, which I was struggling with before, and I’ve been reminded that I need to put in that effort to exercise and eat well to gain the results I want,” Leonie says.

Having fun with the exercises with sister Trudi along the way, they’re both keen to continue on with their health journeys together. Revealing she’s well on the way to losing her “muffin top”, as she’d set out to achieve, Trudi says taking part in the challenge has made her much more mindful of her food choices and the positive impact of regular exercise both inside and out. “I’ve learnt that I actually really enjoy exercise – and I never

would’ve said that before this challenge!” Trudi reveals.

Adding that she’s gained much more energy and has even started implementing exercises specifically for ladies in their 50s into her daily life, Trudi says the trio are all so thankful for the experience and excited to continue on with their health journeys.

Zoe agrees completely. “I feel like we’ve all kickstarted the new year right and it’s a great set up for a healthier 2019 and a healthier future for us all.”
