ARE DARREN AND DELTA BACK ON?
Delta’s former fling Darren Mcmullen is back in the country and insiders tease something could be happening between them again. “Darren is back filming in Byron Bay for the channel nine reboot of Seachange,” an insider spills. “They’ve been talking again.” The pair have a colourful past, after dating during the early seasons of The Voice. “For the first years of Voice, when he was host, Delta and Darren had a raging affair, where they would be holed up in their King’s Cross penthouse apartments,” the insider spills. “Nine were forced to keep the relationship quiet. But it was the worst kept secret!” Despite trying to keep their romance hidden, in 2012, Darren and Delta were spotted enjoying a passionate kiss at a Lady Gaga concert. When questioned over their time together, Darren insisted the twosome were never in a “confirmed relationship” but had “remained good friends”. Spilling further, the ex Voice host told Kyle Sandilands on his radio show that the radio host ruined his Valentine’s Day by conveying the wrong information to a certain coach he’d been seeing, presumed to be Delta. “You ruined my Valentine’s Day about seven years ago,” Darren explained. “There was a certain coach of a certain show that I was allegedly seeing at the time and on Valentine’s Day I had this big thing organised – the picnic, the champagne, the whole thing, the music – for this person I was allegedly seeing. And she’d been … speaking to you [Kyle] and you had said, ‘Is it true, this Scottish guy, are you seeing this guy?’ and of course it was all secret so it was ‘No’.
“And you said, ‘Oh that’s good because actually, somebody I work with is sleeping with him’.”
Jackie then questioned what the consequences were from that conversation. “Well it wasn’t good! I think clothes were thrown off balconies … tears were had, affidavits were signed. Ruined it,” Darren said.
“So did you guys split after that?” Jackie continued.
“Yeah, it’s all Kyle’s fault,” he replied. “But it’s OK bro, I forgive you.”
Recently, Darren, who’s been with actress Crystal Reed for years, appears to be keeping his relationship quiet. The pair haven’t posted about each other on Instagram in months and insiders are questioning if he might be pursuing Delta again.
