CAN THE SINGER KEEP HER RELATIONSHIP ON THE RIGHT PATH?
She’s recently been linked to executive producer Leigh Aramberri and fellow coach Guy Sebastian. And now, Delta Goodrem is said to be doing all she can to save her relationship with long-time boyfriend, musician Matthew Copley.
New Idea understands The Voice coach has reassured her beau that her on-set relationships are purely professional and that he has absolutely nothing to worry about.
“Delta has been linked to different men and she actually warned Matt this would happen,” reveals an insider, adding the couple are stronger than ever.
“She loves Matt and sees a long future with him and they’re not going to let any of this nonsense ruin what they have.”
This isn’t the first time Delta has had to shut down rumours of inappropriate behaviour with her male contestants.
In 2017, she was slammed for planting a kiss on a hunky rugby player after he handed her a rose.
“I really am a hands-on coach,” she laughed.
The following year, she defended her flirtatious behaviour. “We’re all out there making an entertainment show,” she said in an interview.
“We’re a very safe environment as a show and we really care about our artists. We genuinely look after our artists more than any other show.
“Everybody works hard to make sure our artists are cared for, and respected.”
Delta and Matt debuted their romance in January 2018. Since then, the couple have kept their relationship relatively private.
In fact, the last time Delta shared an image of the pair together was back in January while they were on a romantic getaway in Byron Bay.
In one of the images, the couple are seen cuddling up on a chair together, while another is of them with a large group of friends.
Meanwhile, Delta’s close connection with co-coach Guy Sebastian, whom she went on a number of dates with in the past, has also been a cause of contention onset. It comes after Guy confessed he once had a crush on the former Neighbours star during an interview with Kyle and Jackie O.
“Delta was my hall pass before I knew her,” he told the radio show.
“She was then the hot chick on Neighbours for me. Later when Jules and I had been broken up for about a year,
I went on two dates with her.”
And while Matt has no doubt Delta is one hundred per cent committed to him, the singer
will need to keep her flirting at bay – especially when many of the young, attractive contestants have got their eyes on the 34-year-old!
The Voice contestant Jesse Teinaki opened up to New Idea about his flirty relationship with the songstress – who eventually reveals on screen that she’s also a big fan of Jesse.
“It’s all a bit of fun,” Jesse revealed with a laugh. “I think growing up as a young muso in Australia, everyone’s got a bit of an eye for Delta.”
