THE MYSTERY OF PAST LIVES
Have you ever wondered if you’ve lived before? Perhaps you have an affinity with a historical figure and a period in time, or have long been drawn to a distant part of the world? These are some of the ways a memory of a past life may begin to surface.
I can relate to this sense of being drawn, inexplicably, to another time and place. As a child, I became fascinated with England of old. Novels such as Lord of the Forest – about a majestic oak tree planted in the middle ages – transported me there, and later, that fascination narrowed to Tudor times.
On this week’s episode of
The Ghost Files, we delve deep into past lives with my special guest, Australian author, speaker, broadcaster and psychic-medium, Barry Eaton. In his latest book, Past Lives Unveiled, he offers a fresh look at the age-old topic of reincarnation. He shares intriguing case studies, as well as his own personal experiences of past-life regressions which led him to uncover lives in ancient Greece and in the US during the Civil War. The details he relates regarding these lives is astounding.
There’s much to savour in our conversation, in which we touch on how acknowledging our past lives can help us release trauma that’s stopping us from thriving in this life, and the hard-to-get-your-headaround theory that it’s not actually past lives we’re dealing with, it’s simultaneous lives, because the past, the present and the future may be unfolding at the same time.
For me, my fascination with ‘ye olde’ England persists, but in a subtler way these days. Interestingly, my sister, Natalie, has gone on to write books about Anne Boleyn, Henry VIII’S second wife. Did we both live in the doomed queen’s time? The mystery persists.
