ROBERT’S WEDDING MELTDOWN
THE YOUNG WILDLIFE WARRIOR HAS BEEN ACTING OUT – AND MUM TERRI’S HAD ENOUGH!
Like every teenager, it seems Robert Irwin knows how to push his mum’s buttons. Seen in New Idea’s exclusive photos, the pair were running errands near their Queensland home and tensions appeared high as Terri Irwin gave her son an animated talking-to as he remained tight-lipped.
At one point, a glum looking Robert – who is the spitting image of his late father, crocodile hunter Steve – was seen using his shirt to wipe away tears as he listened to his mother.
Now a source tells New Idea that Robert, 16, is reportedly having a hard time and is feeling stuck in his big sister’s shadow.
“Robert is starting to get really fed up with everything being about Bindi at the moment,” says the insider.
“He’s sick and tired of Bindi getting all the attention and him being the forgotten little brother. He feels like everyone always pushes him to the side and forgets he’s there.”
The insider adds: “It’s been happening all his life and he’s just over it.”
It must be unfamiliar territory for the Irwins, who are such a tight-knit family, living and working in very close proximity and constantly showing their support for each other on social media.
Until wedding guests were limited under the new government precautions, Robert was set to walk his sister down the aisle in front of family and friends, and had told Access Hollywood it “meant everything” that Bindi had asked him to step in for their late dad, Steve.
Earlier in March, Bindi, 21, showed off the flowers she’d chosen for the event in a post to social media and asked her followers to give her any wedding tips and advice.
Days later, Robert posted a throwback clip of himself and Chandler, 23, singing, and wrote a touching caption about how his future brother-in-law was his “lip sync buddy”.
He added: “soon you and Bindi are getting married, wow !!!! There’s no one more perfect for Bindi and I’m so happy for you both!
It’s also believed that Robert is very unhappy that his girlfriend, Elisha Jackson, hasn’t yet been welcomed into the family as Chandler has been.
“Robert also feels like no-one is giving his girlfriend a chance,” the insider continues.
“Everyone accepted Chandler straight away and welcomed him into the family with open arms, but he just doesn’t feel like his girlfriend has been treated the same way.”

Robert and Elisha are said to have connected on Instagram after Elisha, who admitted to having a crush on Robert for some time, visited Australia Zoo.
She then shared a picture from her day out, along with the caption: “Yesterday I went to Australia Zoo and told @robertirwinphotography how I felt.”
The pair were later spotted enjoying lunch on a double date with Bindi and Chandler.

The Australian supermodel shocked fans by stepping out with the struck-off British doctor in July 2017, shortly after he left his wife of 32 years, Carmel, who is also the mother of his four adult children.
Sources say Elle and Andrew have since moved into her $13 million waterfront home in Miami, Florida, and remain “madly in love” – with the 55-year-old beauty ignoring the backlash over their relationship.
But court documents reveal that nearly three years on, Andrew is still legally married. Furthermore, it appears the divorce proceedings have stalled in recent months.
“Andrew is keen to get it signed off as soon as possible and move on with his life, but it’s not been as easy as that,” a well-placed source revealed.

“He is very happy with Elle and they have been talking about their future together, but there are a lot of loose ends to tie up with Carmel.”
Documents filed in a Texas court in January last year show Andrew and Carmel married on September 13, 1986, and ceased to live together in 2017.
Both are requesting the other pay their legal feels, with their marriage being described as “insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities”, according to the legal papers.
With the coronavirus outbreak causing backlogs for lawyers across the United States, the already delayed court proceedings are likely to drag on for the rest of the year.
Andrew’s controversial background includes publishing a now-retracted paper in 1998, which is believed to have prompted a large drop in vaccination rates. His British medical licence was then struck off in 2010 for “serious professional misconduct”.
He has now self-styled himself as a documentary filmmaker and campaigner, and his high profile fan-base even includes President Donald Trump.
Model Elle’s surprising relationship with Andrew came shortly after she was awarded a reported $US79 million in her divorce from billionaire Jeffrey Soffer, who she was married to for nearly four years.
The twice-married former Sports Illustrated swimsuit star has two sons, Arpad Flynn, 22, and Aurelius Cy, 17, with her former partner, billionaire financier Arpad Busson.
