BROOKE SHIELDS BIKINI BODY AT 55!
Veteran actress and model Brooke Shields proved she hasn’t aged a day since 1980’s Blue Lagoon, when she donned a starspangled bikini during this year’s Fourth of July celebrations in the US.
The 55-year-old flaunted her washboard abs and toned figure while enjoying Independence Day by the pool at her home in the Hamptons, New York.
The Suddenly Susan actress has been spending isolation with her husband Chris Henchy, 56, and daughters, Rowan, 17, and 14-year-old Grier.
Last month Brooke revealed the secret to her enviable bikini body, telling Intouch she learned to love the spiritual elements of health and fitness during the lockdown.
“I never focused on the spiritual element of exercise or the idea of honouring your body and soul. Those were just words before; they didn’t feel realistic,” the brunette bombshell explained.
“None of the exercising I’ve done in the past has stemmed from me loving it, or from it giving me any peace of mind. When I was younger, it was all ego-based.”
She also took to Instagram to express her gratitude for spending a relaxing holiday with her family.
“Feeling grateful to be spending today with my family, including my two daughters who I’m so proud are part of a bold and bright generation working to make the world, and this country, a better place,” she said.
In 2018, Brooke also admitted she had avoided wearing two-piece bikinis for a long time and found the confidence to parade her figure thanks to her daughters.
“I used to wear these bathing suits that practically came to my knees. My oldest daughter would say, ‘That makes you look so big and uncomfortable’. I realised I had to be confident in my skin to set the right example for her,” Brooke said.
