Disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein spun a web of deceit and mystery through his own death as much as he did in life

The obscenely wealthy sex offender was found dead in his prison cell on August 10, 2019, while awaiting trial for sex traffickin­g charges, and his alleged suicide has been the subject of heated debate ever since.

Epstein, a multimilli­onaire suspected of traffickin­g under-age girls for decades, had effectivel­y destroyed any chance of the truth finally being exposed, due to his death before trial.

Investigat­ive journalist and crime writer Diane Dimond, who appears in the TV special Who Killed Jeffrey Epstein?, tells New Idea that many rich and powerful people stood to benefit from Epstein’s death.

“There is no way that his rich and famous friends did not know what Jeffrey Epstein was all about,” Diane explains. “He constantly surrounded himself at his Palm Beach home, at his Island estate and his ranch in New Mexico, with very young girls. It doesn’t take an Einstein to figure out what’s going on.”

Epstein was arrested in July 2019 on federal charges of sex traffickin­g minors in New York and Florida.

The 66-year-old had homes in Palm Beach, Manhattan, New Mexico and Paris, and even had his own private Caribbean island.

Diane says Epstein used his vast real estate portfolio to host rich and famous friends and would bring young girls into his homes for sex.

But how did he get away with it for so long?

“Jeffrey Epstein had a way of gathering informatio­n about his rich and famous friends. How? In all of his homes, he bragged that he had pinhole cameras all over the place. In his private jet, called the ‘Lolita Express’, it was wired with audio and video,” Diane says.

“So when his famous friends came to ‘play’ at Jeffrey’s house, everything they did was recorded, either audio, video or both.

“So this was a perfect way for him to blackmail people into accepting him, inviting him to parties, investing with him, because if Jeffrey Epstein did nothing, he made money for people. That was his
