THE BABY GIRL MAKING TIGER LILY CLUCKY!
Over the past year, the Perth social scene has been abuzz with rumours that Tiger Lily Hutchence was planning to start a family with her fiancé, musician Nick Allbrook. And now it seems the couple is getting plenty of practise, thanks to a very special young friend – who looks just like 25-year-old Tiger did as a baby.
New Idea can exclusively reveal that since relocating back to the UK, where she was born and raised, Tiger Lily has become a doting “second mum” to Meli, the 6-year-old daughter of her pal, Lily Gutierrez.
“Tiger adores little Meli,” says a source. “Nick loves her too … she makes a beeline for him when he’s around. They want a baby just like her someday soon, and Lily is happy for Tiger to get a taste of motherhood by hanging out with her cheeky little girl.”
New Idea has obtained adorable pictures of Meli sitting on Nick’s lap in Lily’s home in Hastings, south of London, taken by a mutual friend in August.
Meli also features in a clip for Tiger’s new song, titled
‘I Love You’, with the pair captured playing piano together.
Lily was also best friends with Tiger’s half-sister, Peaches Geldof, and was devastated when she died in 2014 of a heroin overdose, aged just 25. She left behind two sons, Astala, now 9, and Phaedra, 8.
In a 2016 tribute piece written for motherland.net, Lily described Peaches as “a firework of a girl, so brilliant, daring and bright that being near her I often felt I was holding my breath, waiting for the next vivid explosion. She was a wild, rare thing, always creating chaos.”
Sources say the artist and writer remains close with Peaches’ sons and “cherishes” her family’s friendship with both Tiger Lily and Nick.
