TO THE RESCUE!

WHEN BEATLES SUPERFAN LISA COLLAPSED SHE WAS SAVED BY HER IDOL

-

Shivering with cold and excitement, Lisa Morris was determined to see her favourite Beatle perform at Glastonbury, no matter the weather! However, Sir Paul Mccartney had only just begun his set at the famous British music festival on June 25 when Lisa, 50, passed out with hypothermia!

She had spent seven hours standing in the cold getting “the best spot” at the front of the festival’s Pyramid Stage waiting to see ‘Macca’, and then fell ill.

“It was pretty chilly and by then my hands were numb … All of a sudden, I just blacked out. It wasn’t far into the gig,” Lisa later told The Sun newspaper.

“It was all a bit of a blur, I felt myself just fading. “Who knows what could have happened if I’d been left with no help.”

As nearly four million watched the performance on TV, Paul, 80, stopped the show when he realised Lisa was in trouble. He then rallied the crowds to help her, joking, “It wasn’t that solo I played? All right.”

“Macca made my life and now he saved it too,” Lisa added.

On-site medical staff took Lisa, herself a nurse, to the hospital tent where she spent the rest of the evening after her temperature dropped to 35C.

Ever the adoring devotee, Lisa was decked out in a Macca T-shirt and a Sgt. Pepper denim jacket. She first developed a love for his music as a young girl. And while the heartbroken superfan missed the rest of Paul’s concert, she’ll never forgot how she got by with a little help from her new friend.

“I’ve been a Macca fan since

I can remember. He’s my hero and there was no way I was going to miss him,” Lisa added.

“I can take it to the grave that I saw Macca at Glastonbury.”
