GEORGE CLOONEY’S DOUBLE DATE

THE STAR BROUGHT BOTH HIS LEADING LADIES

-

It was a red carpet to remember when rom-com superstars Julia Roberts and George Clooney, along with his wife Amal, attended the premiere of their film Ticket to Paradise in London.

While Julia and George might play warring former spouses in the flick, there were no signs of any real-life drama, with the long-time pals beaming for the cameras.

Julia drew plenty of attention in her customised Alexander Mcqueen dress, embellished with beaded graffiti that called out her love for husband Daniel Moder with ‘JR + DM’ as well as the initials of her children Hazel, Phinnaeus and Henry, and meaningful dates such as her wedding year.

Amal oozed old-hollywood glamour in a stunning mint-coloured beaded gown by John Galliano, with her hair cascading in waves, a bold red lip and diamond accessories.

It was a especially happy reunion for the trio, with Julia, 54, admitting that while filming Ticket to Paradise in Australia, George and Amal were her lifeline.

“The Clooneys saved me from complete loneliness and despair. We were in a bubble, and it’s the longest I’ve ever been away from my family,” Julia says. “I don’t think I’ve spent that much time by myself since I was 25.”

Julia bonded with Amal behind the scenes recently, with the pair playing peacekeepers when things became heated between their respective wardrobe teams who had been feuding over who should wear what to the premiere.

“Their stylists were locking horns only to unite against the PR team,” an insider says.

However, when Julia and Amal discovered what was going on they immediately stepped in. “[They] were quick to smooth things over as soon as they became aware of the problem,” the insider explains.

As these pictures show, there’s plenty of couture to go around!
