REALITY TV STARS SAY SHE IS ‘THE RUDEST’
She made a name for herself playing the awkward-yet-charming Phoebe Buffay on the hit sitcom Friends – but for Lisa Kudrow, it seems life doesn’t imitate art.
The 59-year-old actress found herself the victim of a surprise cancelling attempt last week, when reality TV personality Spencer Pratt – best known for his bad-boy turn on The Hills – described her as “hands down, one of the worst humans I’ve ever come into contact with.”
The 39-year-old recalled an incident between his wife, Heidi, and Lisa at a 2009 NBC party, saying, “Phoebe (he referred to Lisa as her character’s name) approaches, which was a little shocking since nobody had talked to us at all at the party. Right in front of me, she tells Heidi she needs to get away from me as fast as possible because I’m going to murder Heidi and I have the eyes of a serial killer.
“Heidi waits to see if it’s a joke … no laughs, [Lisa] just walks away. That right there is the rudest moment I’ve ever encountered with a human being.”
The surprising take on Lisa’s attitude doesn’t stop there.
In response to Spencer’s video, reality icon Bethenny Frankel added, “That’s crazy, she was on my talk show and I had a crazy experience also.”
“I basically was just asking very normal questions and you could tell she didn’t want to be there,” Bethenny said.
Fans have leaped to Lisa’s defence, with one source exclusively telling New Idea, “When people encounter Lisa they always think she is going to be exactly like Phoebe. But she’s not a perfect character, she’s a real person.”
