FUN ON THE RED CARPET IS JUST WHAT THE STAR NEEDS
It’s the movie set to get everyone talking – a gritty fictionalised look at the life of Marilyn Monroe. But at the Venice Film Festival’s premiere of Blonde there was only one thing everyone was speaking about – Brad Pitt!
Amid relentless headlines concerning the bitter divorce between the actor and his ex-wife Angelina Jolie, Brad did what he does best – put his Hollywood heart-throb status on his sleeve for full show.
The 58-year-old actor, who worked behind the camera as a producer on the historical psychological drama, sported a big smile and looked handsome in a smart black tux as he cosied up to leading lady Ana De Armas, who is playing the tragic blonde bombshell.
The duo looked to be having the time or their lives as Ana, 34, covered her mouth, almost in shock, as Brad praised her.
Following the films premiere, Ana’s performance was met with an incredible 14-minute standing ovation – a sign the star, who was previously in a relationship with Ben Affleck, will be leading the Oscar buzz come 2023.
For weeks ahead of the red-carpet event, whispers in Hollywood have swirled around the nature of Brad and Ana’s relationship, with Hollywood insiders revealing the pair have been “inseparable” since filming wrapped on movie.
Insiders hint that an obsession with Marilyn shared by the two actors quickly made for a very close friendship.
“Brad loved seeing their long conversations and hours together planning turn into what could be an Oscar win for Ana,” tells a source, who says the pair well deserved to celebrate
the film’s reviews at Venice.
“After a lot of hard work, they’re enjoying celebrating the film together,” says an insider, who insists Ana will be remembering this moment for the rest of her life.
“She’s just pinching herself that she’s been able to work alongside Brad and stand next to him on the world’s most famous red carpet.”
While Ana is said to be dating business executive Paul Boukadakis, whispers around Tinseltown have long insisted she has developed something of a crush on Brad.
“She found Brad totally captivating on the set,” dishes a source.
The insider explains that the sparks were clear to see, with even friends of Ana noticing the chemistry between the pair.
And who could blame her, with Brad being one of Hollywood’s hottest hunks since he burst onto the scene in 1991, as the shirtless hitchhiker J.D. in Thelma & Louise?
With his confidence taking a hit due to his long-running messy divorce and custody proceedings, Brad’s little red carpet flirtfest with Ana, even if not serious, is sure to be putting a little deserved pep into his step too!
