HARRY AND MEGHAN ARE REELING AFTER A NEW PALACE SNUB
Buckingham Palace’s official website has undergone a refresh – and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been significantly downgraded in the makeover!
Previously, Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, each had a 4000-word personal biography.
But royal watchers noted that these have been replaced by a 500-word joint section on the pair. Adding insult to injury, the Sussex information now sits below the disgraced Duke of York’s section.
“Clearly it’s a snub,” a source tells New Idea. “It’s interesting that this has happened while King Charles is fighting cancer, as it could well signify that the Prince of Wales is increasingly calling the shots when it comes to his brother.”
Our insider adds, “William has been way less forgiving of Harry than Charles.
He has made it abundantly clear that, if he had his way, there’s no way back for Harry and Meghan.”
There is no suggestion that William signed off on the website’s new pecking order directly. But the obvious and very public demotion of Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, will come as a blow to the couple. They stepped down as working royals in January 2020.
The only consolation for Harry and Meghan is that a link to their sussex.com website has been included “as a goodwill gesture”. Even even so, “this will hurt them,” our source says.
