WHAT’S REALLY GOING ON with Hugh?

THE AUSSIE STAR HAS BEEN GOING THROUGH A TOUGH TIME

-

Given the shock end of his 27-year marriage, it’s not surprising that Hugh Jackman is taking some time to adjust to life as a single man. But in the seven months since he and Deborra-lee Furness announced their mutual separation, the actor has exhibited some eccentric behaviours that have caused many fans to wonder – is Hugh OK?

“Hugh is aware of his fans and their concern for his wellbeing,” a source close to the star recently told the Daily Mail. “But he is good.”

Alarm bells really started to ring regarding the father of two’s possible state of mind when he regularly began sharing erratic Instagram posts and Stories with his 31 million followers.

From uploading blurry selfies to a photo of his floorboards with the random caption “More!”, Hugh’s followers have tried to reach out to him via his Instagram comments section.

“Are you OK? You may need to talks to some of your real friends,” one fan asked, while another posted, “Ever since late last year, your content has been so random.”

But the source close to Hugh insists he is fine. He is focused on and excited about the upcoming release of Deadpool & Wolverine, in which he reprises his famous X-men character.

“That’s where most of his focus is going – on work and being present for that,” the insider also told the Mail.

The conclusion of the SAG-AFTRA writers’ strike earlier last November couldn’t have come at a better time for Hugh. After lengthy filming delays, Hugh was finally able to throw himself back into work on Deadpool & Wolverine, which another source tells New Idea, was “a great distraction”.

In September 2023, Hugh, and Deborra-lee, 68, who share children Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18, released a joint statement announcing their separation.

“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” they wrote. “Our journey is now shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue

our individual growth.”

The pair, who met while filming ABC series Correlli in 1995, pledged their family would always remain their “highest priority”.

In addition to his work, Hugh has also thrown himself into an intense daily workout regimen since the split, which he has also updated fans with online.

“He’s just trying to keep busy,” our source says.

Some fans have queried whether dating again may help the Hollywood star heal his broken heart. Shortly after the split was announced, Radar Online reported “Everyone expects Hugh to remarry fairly quickly – he’s likely to fall for the first girl who catches his eye.”

But the Mail insider says love is off the table right now, stating, “He will get there again, but it’s not a priority.”
