January 18, 2015: Rotorua Vintage Car Club Annual Summer Car Show, Rotorua Village Green at the lakefront, off Whakaue Street, Rotorua. 10am– 4pm. An informal affair intended to allow groups to get together. All vintage / classic car owners welcome. Bring a picnic, or there will be eateries within walking distance. The Craft Market will be on also — a great opportunit­y for public exposure to show off your cars and attract future members to your club. All money raised will be donated to St John Ambulance. February 1, 2015: Galaxy of Cars and Swap Meet, Western Springs Speedway Stadium, Stadium Rd. Automotive Swap Meet starts at 7.30am, Car Show at 10am. Classic, vintage cars and motorbikes, cars of interest. Trade sites available and entertainm­ent. Another New Lynn Lions Club project, profits to charity. February 8, 2015: British Car Day, Trentham Memorial Park, Upper Hutt. Calling all owners of British vehicles powered by a V8 engine. The stars of the next British Car Day will be the V8s! However, all other British vehicles are welcome as well, from vintage to modern. The organizers invite you to come and have a picnic day out at Trentham Memorial Park from 10am to 3pm. Bring your club displays and informatio­n — but it is not necessary to be in a club. Good food and coffee available, plus some other merchandis­e. Proceeds go to help keep the Wellington Free Ambulance free. Display vehicles $5 per vehicle, or gold coin donation for spectators. Entrance via Barton Road. February 14–15, 2015: Coromandel Gold Rush and Gum Diggers Charity Cruise. The first part of this event will be a Treasure Hunt called the Gold Rush. The second part, aptly named The Golddigger­s Charity Cruise, will be just that, a cruise. Organized by the Thames Valley Vintage & Classic Car Enthusiast Group, the event is planned to take part around the Coromandel Peninsula loop road (SH25). March 8, 2015: Wheels on Windsor, Windsor Park, Grove Road, Hastings. 9am–3pm. Come to beautiful sunny Hastings and enjoy a fine display of classic vehicles in park-like surroundin­gs. All traditiona­l and modern classic vehicles welcome, including British, European, Australian, Japanese, American, military vehicles and

classic motorbikes. Food and coffee available, as well as entertainm­ent for the kids. Cash only, no EFTPOS, $5 entry for display vehicles. Public entry by gold coin donation benefiting the Brain Injury Associatio­n HB Inc. Spot prizes to be won on the day with category prize-giving at 2.30pm. March 8, 2015: Marlboroug­h Hospice Vehicle Display, Waterlea Race Course, Blenheim. 9.30am until 3pm. Annual event run to help raise funds for the Hospice. Entry is $5 per vehicle. March 22, 2015: 13th Annual North Canterbury Classic Tour. Starts at HiTech Building Systems (next to Stewarts Classic Car Collection), 656 Wairaki Rd, Russley, Christchur­ch. Register from 9am–10am. $15. All classic vehicles welcome; cars, vans, utes, trucks, campers, and motorcycle­s. Any age, body style, type, or condition, there were 187 classics last year. Tour is over scenic sealed roads to places of interest. Bring a picnic lunch. All entrants to receive New Zealand Classic Car magazine. April 3– 6, 2015: Austin-healey Car Club of New Zealand Monaco Rally, Nelson. The Austin-healey Car Club of NZ holds its biennial rally in Nelson over Easter weekend. April 3– 6, 2015: Classic Fighters 2015, Omaka Aerodrome. This year’s theme is ANZAC and we require vehicles for display including those associated with Australia / New Zealand, e.g. Ford, Holden, Chrysler, BMC, VW, Bolwell,

Mclaren, Trekka. In return you get two passes for three days (we require the vehicle for at least two days). You must register with Patrick Pascoe at p.pascoe@ xtra.co.nz as passes will be emailed out. Register early, accommodat­ion is limited during event.

January 15–24, 2016: Vero Internatio­nal Festival of Historic Motoring. Scheduled to take place in Dunedin, this event will be the 10th Internatio­nal Rally held by the Vintage Car Club of New Zealand Inc. The festival has evolved over the years, and there are now significan­t numbers of vintage motorcycle­s involved as well as vintage, veteran and classic cars.
