The Survivors: 1973 Holden Torana GTR XU-1
For many, the Holden Torana GTR XU-1 is the ultimate Australian performance car. Brian Wong falls firmly into this camp, having fallen in love with the high-performance car as a teen, buying one, and sticking with it for over 40 years. Hop onto Themotorhood to read about how Zora Arkus-duntov, Ed Cole, Smokey Yunick, and a team of dedicated engineers helped — through power and speed — to save the Corvette. Thanks to Terry Michaelis and Proteam Corvette for the research and work behind this article.
