As you’d expect for a company with such a long history, Autodec has moulds or sewing patterns for a large range of classic vehicles including English, Australian, American and Japanese, plus light commercials and SUVS from early to modern. It has patterns from 1949 onwards, and often replicates carpet sets for cars dating back to the ’20s and ’30s.

If Autodec hasn’t done it before it can often copy from an original carpet set. If you’ve only got a bare floor, Autodec recommends that you go to a good auto trimmer to have a custom one-off carpet set made up.

The other side of Autodec’s business is car mats, and it manufactures an extensive range of them, from quality universal sets and personalized/branded mat sets to tailored sets. It focusses more on the quality end of the market — for instance, it offers customers the opportunity to personalize their mats by adding embroidered logos and names, to further enhance the mat’s look.

Autodec also carries an extensive range of patterns for hundreds of current and late-model vehicles in order to produce specially tailored car mats. These are designed to protect as much of the original carpet as possible, and can come with retaining clips, logos, heel pads and one-piece rear mats to cover the tunnel area. These mats are generally ordered in bulk by car dealerships and motor companies, but are also available direct to the public.

Autodec is the only manufacturer of automotive carpet in New Zealand, and supplies carpet, replacement carpets and car mats extensively throughout NZ and Australia.
